Als es wieder an den Strand ging haben wir das mit dem Wellenreiten aber verbockt, wir waren zu schnell...
Danach sind wir dann zu Surfers Paradise gefahren... Naja, die Wellen waren gut und so konnten wir mal wieder aufs Beste das Bodysurfen üben... aber ein mit Hochhäusern zugebauter Strand wirkt doch recht jämmerlich im Verhältnis zu dem was wir bisher so gesehen haben.
Die Australier haben mehr Strand als Leute um den zu bevölkern, seltsamerweise haben sie sich trotzdem auf einen geeinigt, um dort dann europäische Menschenmassen unterzubringen...
Abends haben wir die Küste verlassen und sind ins Landesinnere gefahren, zu den Green Mountains/Lamington National Park. Dort haben wir Regen gefunden (Naja, is ja auch nen Regenwald), Pulloverwetter (Sehr willkommen nach der Hitze der vergangenen Tage) und jede Menge unglaublicher Wildnis... Dschungelbuch wir kommen.
A day full of things! In the morning we did a kayak tour (sit-on-top kayaks) in order to watch dolphins. The first time canoeing in the see! And the dolphins even went right under our kayak! Really cool!
When we were getting back to the beach we tried to surf with our kayak but we miserably failed. We were too fast...
After that we drove to Surfers Paradise... Well, the waves were good even for what we call bodysurfing. But a beach ligned with way too many skyscrapers (all hotels) is pretty pathetic in comparison to the beautiful beaches we've already seen.
Australians have more beaches than people to populate them but they seem to have agreed to just using a few in order to reach the European crowds... Very strange!
Hence we left the coast and drove to the hinterland, to the Lamington national park, Green Mountains section. And how could it be otherwise, it was raining. Well, there was rainforest... so what did we expect? It was rather cold in comparison to the heat of the last days what we highly appreciated and heaps of wildlife...Jungle-book we're coming.
