23.Tag - Christmas Eve

In nem Backpacker Hostel.

First action today: cleaning the campervan (it's never been that clean...) and then returning it. Our beloved Toyota was now gone. Everything was fine. We didn't have to pay anything.
While inspecting our vehicle the guy came back asking us whether this bump in the sliding door as always been there... That was a shock cause the bump wasn't small at all! We were already wondering how we could not have noticed it when Franzi saw that the van in question wasn't ours. The guy got mixed up with the registration numbers... right, they were similar but still...
The afternoon we spent at Brisbane's lagoon and met up with Thorsten and Anika again. For dinner we had the traditional Christmas Eve dinner... bbq with sausages, onions, bread and tomato sauce... Doesn't seem to be that extraordinary but at that point it was delicious after having eaten noodles with red sauce or rice with chili for three weeks.
At night we tried to find a Christmas Eve party. We almost failed. Apparently they started partying pretty early and when we wanted to join around 9 pm most of them told us that they were closing soon. Finally we found a party in a backpacker hostel still going on at 11 pm. But since the 25th of December everything, really everything is closed, we just had an hour of fun. Note that the 25th starts at midnight. Damn it! Fortunately we still had some goon left from the night before...

only one per pole please, thank you :-)

Die spinnen die Australier! They had a Christmas bus...

No party after 12 o'clock... sad!
